I have released "Solomon's Temple" which was supposed to be published in a magazine a few years back.  Unfortuantely the magazine only published the first part of the sampler and never finsihed it.   I am now releasing the design.  It is a beautiful sampler and can be stitched over 1 or over 2 ground linen threads.  I have included NPI silks and a conversion to DMC.   The recommended fabric is 32 ct. Lakeside Linens "Vintage Examplar".  The chart includes a 12- page enlarged chart.

The new Micheal & Elizabeth Feller Collection 2 Sampler Book

I just recieved in the mail today my copy of the Micheal and Elizabeth Feller book 2.  It is such a beautiful book!  If you haven't gotten it, I would suggest getting one.  Needleprint has done another outstanding job!  I know I will be taking a break tonight from work and looking at it during the debates.

EGA in Ohio

I am excited to be teaching on the 25th of April for the EGA. I have a new Scottish Sampler that will be taught wrought by Margaret Duncan Dullafur. I will also do a small lecture on Scottish Samplers. Scottish Samplers are some of my favorites. I look forward to meeting the ladies of the EGA guild.

Upcoming Events

Be on the look out for the next two issues of Cross Stitch and Needlework Magazine. In the next two issues will be the Peak Sisters' Samplers. These samplers were purchased because I thought it would be neat to own samplers from sisters--they are the first to be added to my collection. (Thank you to Chris for stitching those for me.)

I will also be offering a kit to turn one of them into a needlebook. You will have to purchase the magazine and then you can purchase the finishing kit from me and finishing instructions (which were written by Liz of Ruffles Finishing--she always does such a nice job). More details later.

Jane Ann Smith Reproduction Sampler

Once it is framed I will be posting a new teaching piece. This sampler was wrought by Jane Ann Smith. It has beautiful shades of green. As soon as it returns from the framer I will post.

Our weather in Ohio has been unusually nice. Can this be the last of the snow? We hardly had any. Not that I am complaining.

Thanks and make time to stitch.

The Crafty Ewe "2012" Getaway Weekend

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that I will be teaching at the Crafty Ewe Retreat in September. The dates of the retreat are September 7 -9, 2012. I have heard that everyone has such a great time at this retreat. Think about joining us. I will be teaching Charlotte Lamb.

This sampler is in beautiful shades of green and gold. Charlotte Lamb's sampler has Bargello stitches at the bottom which adds to the sampler. A little bit about Bargello: It is a type of needlework consisting up upright flat satin stitches laid in a mathematical pattern to create motifs. It is not a hard stitch to learn, but provides a beautiful pattern to your needlework.

If you are interested in joining us, please contact Crafty Ewe at 440-838-1600 or CraftyEwe@cox.net to sign up. I hope you will join us!

New Sampler by Mary

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to share a new reproduction sampler (teaching piece) I just got back from the framer. This sampler was original stitched by Mary while at the Royal School of Needlework. I purchased it a few months ago. I designed it into a slightly smaller version on 40 ct. over 1. It can always be stitched over 2. I just think it is so petite and colorful. What do you think?

Charlotte Lamb

Wanted to share Charlotte Lamb. Here's a picture of her beautiful sampler. I like the Bargello stitching at the very bottom it makes this sampler unique. Charlotte wrought her sampler in 1816 dated January 3.
