Mary Jones New Reproduction Sampler

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are enjoying your summer! I have been busy working on my dissertation (what was I thinking when I decided to take on this huge obligation??!!)

I have just finished designing a new reproduction sampler by Mary Jones of Guilffield School, dated 1836. It is a beautiful sampler (which I own) in shades of greens and browns. The sampler includes the Hymn to Providence. Mary should be ready to be delivered to shops in the very near future.

I want to thank my model stitcher Chris for a wonderful stitching job! Without her help I couldn't get this accomplished. I hope you enjoy the sneak peek. The picture just doesn't do the sampler justice. I will be taking Mary to the Western Reserve Sampler guild this weekend. Have a great rest of the summer and take time to stitch!

P.S. Also look for a new reproduction sampler in the September issue of Cross Stitch and Needlework. You can see a preview at http://www.c-sn.com/
Watch as the pictures change and look for Emily Bradham.
