I wish everyone a Happy Holiday season and Happy New Year!
Just finished my fifth course towards my DBA. I have a little break and can't wait to have some free time to stitch and design.

Pic of Solomon's Temple
Zweigart Home Magazine - Solomon's Temple
Please check out the newest issue of Zweigart Home Magazine. You will see my reproduction of "Solomon's Temple". It is a very detailed design and is not a quick stitch, but is well worth the time. It is being presented in parts over the next few issues.

Gift of Stitching Magazine
Hi everyone,
Please check out the newest issue of the Gift of Stitching. This is a great digital cross stitch magazine and you can subscribe by going to this website: http://www.thegiftofstitching.com/
In this current issue I have a new article about Scottish Samplers and a picture of a Scottish Sampler from my personal collection. The Scottish samplers are favorites of mine.
I will be teaching this sampler at guilds this year and have already booked dates in 2010. If your guild or favorite LNS would like to have me teach this beautiful Scottish Sampler, just email me at robin@oldewillowstitchery.com
Have a great week and take time to stitch!

Just checking in
Life has been hectic here. I started my doctorate and life has been very busy.I have been busy working on new teaching pieces for guilds. I am excited to be visiting so many different areas of the US coming up.
My son is on his way to Penn State to obtain his PhD. in Math. Go Nittany Lions!! I can honestly say he didn't get his Math aptitude from me. LOL!! Shawn's girlfriend, Ashley, is on her way to Med School. They both have a long journey ahead of them. It will be an adjustment around here without them. Greg, Grandpa, and I will miss them both lots. Sammy (our dog) is not use to Shawn being gone either. :(
Hope you are enjoying your summer. It has been a very nice summer here, mostly in the 70's. My kind of summer.
Take care and take time to stitch,
Robin

Welcome Summer!
Hope everyone is doing good and finding time to stitch. It has been a strange summer in Ohio-- not very hot, which I don't mind at all , but rainy lately. I appologize for not posting more, but I have been very busy getting all the paperwork ready to go back to college to get my Doctorate in Business.
I just finished working on a new ornament for the Italian Christmas Book. I always enjoy being a part of such a great cause. This will be the third edition of the book. It has such beautiful ornaments from so many wonderful designers. I also have begun working on an ornament for the Gift of Stitching Magazine.
I will be spending some time working on a few new teaching projects. I am really excited to be teaching for guilds next year.
Well take care, and remember to always take time to stitch!

The "Ingland is my Nation" by Rebecca Hall is a favorite of mine. I purchased this cute sampler in England last year at the Ackworth event.
I am excited to be teaching and traveling to many guilds. Hope Spring is on the way!

The newest Designing Ladies Project (fourth in the series.) will be released, but I am sworn to secrecy. I can tell you that mine has many Quaker Motifs.

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to everyone! I hope you enjoyed a wonderful holiday season with your family.
I have finally updated the newsletter page at my website at: http://www.oldewillowstitchery.com/newsletter.htm
I appologize for the delay, but I had problems with the web host and life became very hectic.
I wanted to clear up any confusion on our thread collections. We will still be producing the Quaker Cotton Collection and our newer Silk Collection. I have had to cut back to allow for more time to design, and to work on obtaining my PhD. I am hoping to do my disseration on Needlework history, since reproduction samplers are my true love. Once the Original Cotton Line stock is gone, we will not be replacing the stock. If there is a color you need for your stash, please contact your LNS to obtain it. A few of the original line colors are gone, but I am sure we can find you a comparable substitute from our other colors.
I recently returned from the Ackworth Event hosted by Jacqueline Holdsworth. Jacqueline showed us all a very good time! It was so much fun to stay in the dorms where Quaker children had been schooled. We were treated to many great classes, and lectures. If you ever get the opportunity to go, it is a once in a lifetime experience. At the event we released a limited edition ruler/silk thread pack. I still have a few left, if you are interested, please email me. Due to the limited nature and quantities, we are not able to sell them through your LNS.
I have recently written an article on "orphan samplers" which is in January's issue of The Gift of Stitching Magazine. If you haven't had the opportunity to subscribe to this magazine, and are interested, you can go to our home page and click on the GOS magazine link on the lower left-hand side of the page. The editor, Kirsten Edwards, does a very nice job.
We are busily getting ready for the Nashville Tradeshow in February. We will be releasing some new silk colors, along with a new designing ladies project, and a 1829 Sampler Reproduction.
Please contact your LNS.
Remember, always take time to stitch.
