Adam and Eve Sampler

Here is a sampler I purchased some years back and had forgotten totally about.   It is Adam and Eve and unfortunately the name is gone.  It is quite bright.  The sampler was wrought in 1834, and has some religion advice.  I can't say this is my favorite Adam and Eve.  It does have some wonderful motifs.

Catherine Staley

Hi,

I found this previous little sampler I had saved when I had time to reproduce it.  Catherine Staley wrought this sampler in December of 1842.  She has words of wisdom:

The loss of time is much
The loss of truth is more
The loss of Christ is such
          That no man can restore

Here are a few sneak peeks as I am reproducing it:

What do you think?  Do you like the verse?

Hi everyone,

Just received an updated pic of the Richards Sampler from my model stitcher.  I really like how this is coming along, especially the grass.  The grass will be satin stitched over the cross stitch for the best coverage.  What do you think?

Delaware Historical Society Sneak Peek

Hi Everyone.

I hope you are enjoying your day with family and friends!  We had a beautiful summer weekend in Ohio.   My son, his wife, and dog Max were here along with my Dad and a good friend, Cynthia.  I wanted to give you a quick sneak peek at a new Delaware Historical Society sampler that I was given permission to reproduce.
It is the Richards sampler.  My model stitcher, Candace, is doing a great job!  I don't know what I would do without my model stitchers they provide me with more time to design.  Thanks!

Robin

Thank you to all the service men.

Today, would not be right, among all the cookouts and family gatherings,  unless we thanked those who have protected our country.  Some have given the ultimate sacrifice and my heart goes out to those families.  Thank you one and all!

Elizabeth Zebley SNS Online Class

Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for your interest in the Elizabeth Zebley SNS class!  I can't wait to share this sampler with you.  There is still a little time to sign up before registration closes (May 30th).  I can't wait for everyone to hear from Elizabeth's descendent Trian (great, great, grandson).  He provides a wonderful lecture to add to the class.

Remember to check out my Etsy store for older designs.  Downable PDF's are provided as soon as you register and payment is received:  http://oldewillowstitcheryblog.blogspot.com/

Have a wonderful Memorial Day!

Free Samper Design from Olde Willow Stitchery, Inc.

Hi Stitchers,

It has been awhile since I provided a free design, so I have decided to share this small sampler design if stitched over 2 and sampler pocket if stitched over 1 ground linen thread.  Please choose 3 colors of your liking.  Originally this design had Olde Willow Threads and I no longer dye threads.  The design calls for 3 colors of your choosing (I used a teal color,  light brown, brown.)   You are welcome to share with other stitchers, but this should not be kitted without permission from me.

If you choose to do the pocket then stitch over one ground linen thread with one-ply of thread.  If you are doing the sampler, stitch the sampler design over two.  I am sorry the picture isn't clearer, but I had to scan it from a previous picture.  Finishing instructions included for sampler pocket.  It used Lakeside Linens 28 ct. "Mocha".
