Nashville New Product Releases

Olde Willow Stitchery will be releasing the following new products, including a limited edition silk pack called "Spring Fling". I have attached a picture of a new reproduction sampler that will debut at the show.

The newest Designing Ladies Project (fourth in the series.) will be released, but I am sworn to secrecy. I can tell you that mine has many Quaker Motifs.

Please tell your LNS if you are interested in purchasing any of these new products, so they can bring them home to you. Thanks for your support.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to everyone! I hope you enjoyed a wonderful holiday season with your family.

I have finally updated the newsletter page at my website at: http://www.oldewillowstitchery.com/newsletter.htm
I appologize for the delay, but I had problems with the web host and life became very hectic.

I wanted to clear up any confusion on our thread collections. We will still be producing the Quaker Cotton Collection and our newer Silk Collection. I have had to cut back to allow for more time to design, and to work on obtaining my PhD. I am hoping to do my disseration on Needlework history, since reproduction samplers are my true love. Once the Original Cotton Line stock is gone, we will not be replacing the stock. If there is a color you need for your stash, please contact your LNS to obtain it. A few of the original line colors are gone, but I am sure we can find you a comparable substitute from our other colors.

I recently returned from the Ackworth Event hosted by Jacqueline Holdsworth. Jacqueline showed us all a very good time! It was so much fun to stay in the dorms where Quaker children had been schooled. We were treated to many great classes, and lectures. If you ever get the opportunity to go, it is a once in a lifetime experience. At the event we released a limited edition ruler/silk thread pack. I still have a few left, if you are interested, please email me. Due to the limited nature and quantities, we are not able to sell them through your LNS.

I have recently written an article on "orphan samplers" which is in January's issue of The Gift of Stitching Magazine. If you haven't had the opportunity to subscribe to this magazine, and are interested, you can go to our home page and click on the GOS magazine link on the lower left-hand side of the page. The editor, Kirsten Edwards, does a very nice job.

We are busily getting ready for the Nashville Tradeshow in February. We will be releasing some new silk colors, along with a new designing ladies project, and a 1829 Sampler Reproduction.
Please contact your LNS.

Remember, always take time to stitch.

Just got back

I just got back from a great time at Celebrations in Louisville, KY. It was great to see the stitcher's there.

I also went to the Winterthur Sampler Symposium and had a fantastic time learning more about research on samplers etc. I attended Trish's class and learned loads on the history of older threads and received a beautiful kit.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Take time to stitch,

My Stitching Sampler Huswif

New Special offering. Jayne's Attic is offering "My Stitching Sampler Huswif" next January, along with a stitching support group. Anyone interested should go to Jayne's Forum at: http://www.jaynesattic.co.uk/acatalog/Chat_Forum.html
and register to be part of her chat forum. You then will get directions for purchasing this exclusive teaching kit for this beautiful piece. Jayne will provide support, along with me being available for any questions myself. This special offer is limited to the first 20 students. Don't miss this opportunity.
If you have any questions, you are welcome to contact me also.
An added bonus for me is Jayne and I will be meeting with all stitchers for dinner, when I come to England in December, for the Ackworth event.
Take time to stitch,
Robin
